When Will the Last Seven Years Begin?

Most Christians would like to know exactly where we are on the history time-line. How close are we to the second-coming of Christ? Or, possibly, some may even ask whether there is going to be a second-coming. For those of you who do believe that Jesus meant what He said when He said He would return, there are signs that will signal the beginning of the last seven years.

The main event will be the signing of the "covenant". There will be a major agreement of some sort that will affect the entire globe. We will know that the last seven years are upon us when that covenant is signed by the world dictator we refer to as the "Antichrist". The reason we know that it will trigger the final seven years is because that same covenant will be broken halfway through the seven years and that will begin the final three and a half  (3 1/2) years of "Tribulation".

There are two definite time posts for you: The signing of the Covenant and the breaking of the Covenant.

Daniel 9:27 And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.

The Antichrist will "confirm the covenant for one week" or seven years. In the middle of the 7 years, he will make it cease. Half of 7 is 3.5.

I recently read something online that was talking about the last "70 years". This is not the correct time frame. How do we know that? The Bible tells us the time frame in days as well. If you add it up, it is 7 years, not 70.
